2nd Annual Teachers vs 8th Grade Volleyball Game

The tradition continues at St. Clair Junior High. Close to the finale of the school year, all students and staff went to the gymnasium to watch the second annual Teachers vs. 8th Grade volleyball game.

Farewell to My Cadets

What a bittersweet moment ... the senior cadets that have helped all year in my classroom are graduating today. These students were in my class during my first year of teaching. We made so many memories together! And even more memories these past two years as my cadet.

I will greatly miss these guys! I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors! I cannot wait to hear about the great things they accomplish in the years to come!

Lets Go for a Walk... A Geometry Walk

Today, the sixth graders went outside for a GEOMETRY WALK. The students were asked to look for the following:

  • Acute Angle
  • Obtuse Angle
  • Right Angle
  • Straight Angle
  • 2 Shapes
  • Parallel Lines
  • Perpendicular Lines

The students were asked to replicate the picture and identify where the particular geometry item is. This activity is great for discussion of angles, attributes for shapes, as well as showing the students how geometry is present in outdoor buildings, structures, and other items.

Here are several of the sites the students saw while on the Geometry Walk:
